Q. What was the symptom / problem with the orignal part?
A.Ignored the [the globe is due to be changed light] Got 2 weeks extra before it failed

Q. Did this part fix the problem, and was it easy to fit?
A.LG rear projection tv.
After removing outer access door just 2 screws hold globe holder in place there is a gap between the globe holder and the outer case put some rag in the gap in case you drop the screws .. there is no need to buy the whole globe holder like the factory says., its a simple plastic box with 4screws holding the lid . Mark with felt tip pen to retain correct orientation I used cotton gloves to handle the globe. Total time about 15mins --oh and buy the globe from here they are the cheapest and the quickest.

A.As luck would have I can across a nice sony VPL-X600M HD projector. It just needed a lamp and some TLC.

A.The lamp was perfect. It was the price that made my mind up though. I bought one, popped it in and off it went. What a buzz watching movies on your wall!

A.Tv was showing LAMP LIFE OVER ERROR and the manual requested that we change the lamp as it had almost used 8500 hours

A.Yes replacement of the lamp was fairly easy to fit, we also had to reset the lamp hours clock (this was a little more difficult to do but we managed in the end) and the problem was fixed

A.undo screws make sure u dont touch the glass on the globe and just replace old globe. Pretty simple really.

A.The lamp shattered/blew inside the TV after ignoring the lamp life over warning.

Q. Did this part fix the problem, and was it easy to fit?
A.Removing the lamp is simple. 2 screws secure the lamp housing inside the TV. Remove the housing backing plate, 4 screws. Then remove the lamp and power cable, 6 screws in all. Pay attention to the way the lamp is located.
