I followed the advice given by people before me using only a Phillips screwdriver to remove the top, the left hand side panel, however they did not describe clearly how to release the hose clamp at the rear where the hose enters the machine. Releasing it then reinstating the clamp was the hardest part of replacing the hose. For everyone in the future you need to push down in on the notch at the top curve section whilst squeezing the two open prongs ends of the horse shoe shaped clamp together while also pushing it in. To reinstate the clamp place your hand inside through the side panel after pushing the hose into the old hose position place the clamp over the slimmest section of the new hose reinstate by pushing it back through the hole. Dont forget to squeeze the prongs together again whilst holding the notch section down. Definitely takes a bit of fiddling.
PS My hose was not long enough to sit back in the L-bend section which holds it in place. I just left it out but it has not caused any leaks because of this.

Phillip screwdriver, a flat head to help push the notch down on the hose clamp.
